Stone Carpet provides an attractive, coloured stone floor which creates feel, texture and colour to give a mood and style not matched by other types of flooring. With an attractive even textured finish in a wide range of colour and aggregate type; it offers the modern tactile alternative to carpets, ceramics and traditional vinyl floor coverings, and enables the incorporation of striking designs to create the right image. Designed the use internally; an ideal system for atriums, car showrooms, ect; but can also be used in domestic kitchens and bathrooms.

A resin and the client’s choice of aggregate are mixed together on site and then laid and trowel finished by hand to give it a smooth finish onto existing stable substrates to create an attractive, and highly durable coloured stone floor system. Where carpets would normally be specified, Tygar “Stone Carpet” Surfacing may be installed to give a natural feel under foot. Unlike Tygar “Stone Bound” Surfacing, the open pore texture can be sealed to aid cleaning where spillage or contamination is anticipated.
